Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)

A Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) pays benefits for covered services obtained from any healthcare provider. The member pays less for care received from in-network providers.

How a PPO Plan Works

Members receive full benefits for covered services when they see in-network providers. They receive reduced benefits for services from an out-of-network provider.

  • Access to in-network discounts

  • Lower copayments for care from primary physicians, including general practitioners, family practitioners, internists, and pediatricians
